The Kitchen at Bec Hardy Wines

It's been exciting to follow how Bec, a six generation Hardy family member, and her husband Richard not only launched the Bec Hardy Wines brand, but at the same time rejuvenated the Pertaringa Wines brand and the entire cellar door experience.

There is a casual but elegant & beautiful set-up inside their cellar door as well as an option to enjoy your tasting and food outside on the (covered) deck, or on rustic pallet furniture on the lawn - either way a perfect place to enjoy their wines (for tasting or by the glass), listen to the birds and admire the views. 

After having enjoyed great success and winning two hats with their fining dining restaurant, the Kitchen at Bec Hardy Wines has returned to its roots and now is offering a far more relaxed lunch experience. 

Focus is on fresh, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients - showcasing in seasonally changing menus the best the Fleurieu Peninsula and South Australia has to offer - all in a casual, sharing style.

From a chacuterie board (with deli cuts from the locally renowned Ellis Butcher), to foccacias with burrata and tomatoes, garden salads, to arrancini balls and absolutely lovely pulled lamb sliders.  

All perfect for a casual lunch, matched with some of our farvourite wines (you just have to try the Rifle & Hunt Cab Sav!).

We believe that they have hit a real 'dining sweet spot' here - given that McLaren Vale is already home to many fine dining restaurants ... and on the other side of the spectrum, many wineries offering pizza. The Kitchen at Bec Hardy Wines definitely fills a void for us and will see us return.
