The Kitchen at Bec Hardy Wines

It's been exciting to follow how Bec, a six generation Hardy family member, and her husband Richard not only launched the Bec Hardy Wines brand, but at the same time rejuvenated the Pertaringa Wines brand and the entire cellar door experience.

There is a casual but elegant & beautiful set-up inside their cellar door as well as an option to enjoy your tasting and food outside on the (covered) deck, or on rustic pallet furniture on the lawn - either way a perfect place to enjoy their wines (for tasting or by the glass), listen to the birds and admire the views. 

Best of all, in addition to the grazing platters and cheeses that have been available for a while, Bec & Richard have managed to lure Chef Anthony Schlenk away from Penfold's Magill Estate to the McLaren Vale and are now offering full dining experience on the weekend.

Focus is on fresh, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients - showcasing in seasonally changing menus the best the Fleurieu Peninsula and South Australia has to offer - all in a casual, sharing style and maybe a little cheeky way.

Think Mac & Cheese - only here they are served as delicious Paris Creek Farms Macaroni and Cheese Bites, or how about a Cesar Salad - served as little salad boats with SA sardines?

Cured king fish, pulled lamb sandwiches -- all perfect for a casual lunch, matched with some of our farvourite wines (you just have to try the Rifle & Hunt Cab Sav!).

And for the colder months, we just hope that our favourite lamb shanks will make an appearance again.
