Accommodation near the d'Arenberg Cube

Experience the Cube, d'Arry's Verandah restaurant and the d'Arenberg wines whilst staying at McLaren Vale's best accommodation (as rated by travellers on Tripadvisor)

Standing tall at the end of Osborne Rd, overlooking McLaren Vale, you will find the famous d'Arenberg Cube.

Some locals may still call it an eyesore, not fitting for the region, whilst others describe it as McLaren Vale's answer to Mona  - we wouldn't agree with either those.

The Mona in Hobart is primarily a museum, with an attached winery - the d'Arenberg Cube may be an eccentric and colourful expression of Jester Osborne's vision, but still it is a cellar door and restaurant (2 actually), with an attached museum and art exhibition. But it definitely is not your standard cellar door or restaurant and wihout question breaking norms.

See below what the Cube is all about or check out our cottages for luxurious, yet affordable accommodation close to the d'Arenberg Cube.

Dining & Wine Tasting at the d'Arenberg Cube

It's beautiful to look at from the outside - but the true colours come to live once you enter.

A Wine Sensory Room, a Virtual Fermenter and 360 degree video room are all on your way as you venture to the wine Tasting Room on the 5th floor.

There you will find your favourite d'Arenberg wine, whether it is the flagship Dead Arm Shiraz or a still great drop from the Stump Jump entry range, whilst seated in some of the rather colourful chairs.

And don't miss the opportunity to go outside on the balconies of the tasting room - the views are some of the best in McLaren Vale.

Inside the Cube you can also dine at Singapore Circus, offering South-Asian fusion cuisine - either as full banquet style 10 dish menu on level 1 or as more casual lunch in the café on level 3.

And of course, there is one of our favourites - d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant in the d'Arenberg old homestead just opposite the Cube.

For the art lovers, make sure to pay a visit to the gallery, with the now permanent Dali at d'Arenberg exhibition!

And there is no better way to enjoy d'Arenberg and the Cube  than staying in accommodation nearby, like one of our three cottages.
